Roy Allen Stegman
Sound Designer, Boom Operator, Sound Editor
Roy has been working with audio for nearly 8 years. During his active military duty he maintained Signals Intelligence computers that record sound, and had already built his home studio during his time in the United States Air Force. During that time, he became experienced at post production and various Digital Audio Workstations and techniques.
As he went through the Recording Arts program at IADT, Tampa, he was exposed to another profession of audio that incorporates his love for movies. He began working with his colleagues in the Digital Production/filmmaking department on their various projects. For the short film “Ransom” he composed the musical score. He also took part in another project, the hour-long feature “Yearning For Light,” in which he was sound designer, as well as some 98 Rock, Volkswagon, and Texaco commercials, where not only did he do some cameos but also composed the music.
Roy is also a songwriter, musician, and composer, and spends his free time dressed like a pirate playing keyboards for his band Alpha Decay. He is proud to have worked with the cast and crew of Underclass Heroes since it certainly reminded him of why he wanted to have a career in audio for video.
