Strip Music For Martians

Composer of “Obi Wan Likes It” from Episode 4

Brody Haviland has been in various bands all his life - from hiphop to hardcore, he’s done it. For the past few years the concentration has been on experimental triphop, electronics, and the progression of ‘Tape Scratching’. Instead of turn tables, Brody comes armed with two classic analog reel-to-reel machines. Back in the day, while at practice with his old hiphop project ‘Halucigenetics’ he and band mate Joel Gitta came up with the idea of recording samples, recording them onto tape, and playing it back live. The idea has led to a unique sound as well as some unusual ones.

A couple years later while going to school Brody befriended ‘Illusionists’ counterpart Ben Allan (currently of Kharma Collective and Gnome for Hire). They recorded a couple of sweet hiphop albums (the songs will be featured every now and then on their website). Strip Music For Martians has been purely a solo effort to date and the creativity is flowing. The project was started in the hopes on one day making music for video games or movies. A new album will be for sale later this year on the website and there are 6 songs for free for you to check out and download right now on the page. All lifeforms welcome!
